    • 44,000 workers clean up after us

    • 200,000 bins collected across Ireland

    • 22,0000 platsic bottles/day

    • 1,5 million cans/day

    • 4,000 tonnes of waste

    • €1 million in clean up costs

    Ringsend Incinerator in Dublin

    • Since 2017 incinerator runs 24/7

    • 100 trucks daily (Dublin only)

    • 1,800 tons of waste

    • Powers 80,000 homes

    Killeens Dublin Waste Plant

    • 300 trucks commercial, black bin and skip waste sorted per day

    • 400 tonnes processed/day

    • 1 million nappies

    • 500,000 disposable cups

    • €3 million worth of food/day

    • 30 truck loads arrive for sorting recycling

    • 30% of green bin waste is not recyclable

    • 120 tonnes sorted through /day

    Tallaght River Cleanup

    A volunteer group cleans trash from the river to the tune of:

    • 74 bags

    • 2,200 glass bottles

    • 1,400 cans

    Irish water treatment plant (sewage)

    • 430 million litres of water flushed

    • 2 tonne wet wipes, nappies and pads removed from blocked sewers and pipes

    1 long weekend at a music festival

    • 19,000 bags of rubbish

    Chewing gum cleanup

    • 900,000 pieces of gum /day chewed

    • Unknown how much gets thrown onto the ground
